Title: X-Fox: Beast Within
Genre: Espionage Drama
Origins: X-Fox is a genetically altered red fox whose first memories are of living on the streets of London as he first developed sentience. At the time he had barely reached adulthood making him about one year old. As he became smarter he was able to process some of what happened to him before that but only in flashes and strong images, the way humans remember their early childhood. He remembers people dressed in white who caused him a lot of pain and put him out when they thought their experiments hadn’t changed him. They should have been more patient. He has since developed and cultivated several abilities.
The first issue will start with how he spent the next two years wandering around using his powers and natural sneakiness to avoid notice and understand people as he followed them around museums, art galleries, and schools until he could learn how to read and access the internet. While learning how to access secret government files, he is contacted by a mysterious figure with a life changing offer.
Name: X-Fox
Secret Identity: Kensington Fawkes
Male
Age: About three years.
Appearance: Kensington is a Vulpes Vulpes, commonly called a red fox, of unknown subspecies. He has reddish fur with black feet and a white streak around his neck and down his chest. He usually wears clothes on the forward part of his body, preferring a silk coat and tie accented by a tiny fedora. He has a large wardrobe of custom tailored clothes acquired with his powers and without the tailor’s knowledge.
Powers & Skills: telepathy, telekinesis, mind control, and super intelligence
Critical Preexisting Relationships: He was kept in inhumane conditions and generally treated in a brutal fashion by unknown people who altered his DNA through unknown means.
Weaknesses: He exercises his powers in an attempt to grow them over time but if he pushes himself too hard, he has a mental breakdown and behaves as a normal wild fox for several hours. He also struggles with his feral side in a more general sense, occasionally giving in to his animal nature without losing his senses.
Cause, Motives, or Mission Statement: His primary goal is survival, but he also hopes to find out about his past. He has spent his life attempting to learn from and imitate humans but some of what he learns may cause him to doubt this lifestyle.
